SKILLS WORKSHOPS

Keep On Keepin’ On isn’t just a theatre production, it’s a catalyst for real dialogue, change and development about our town centres and the role of arts and culture in reinvigorating our high streets. We programme a host of free skills support workshops and events for artists and businesses in each of our tour locations.

5TH & 6TH JULY 2025 // NATIONAL FESTIVAL OF MAKING

SOUL STITCHED

Stephie Jessop from Hoop & Fred joined us in Blackburn at the National Festival of Making to explore identity, community, and the legacy of Northern Soul through fabric design and badge-making.

Inspired by the bold style of traditional Northern Soul patches, people learnt to design and make contemporary textile pieces that reflected both their personal and collective identity and left with a personalised piece of art and all the embroidery skills they needed to add a little northern soul flare to clothing and tote bags.
